Dance and gymnastics classes at the age of four helped my mom deal with my affinity for balancing on ledges and being upside down. Gymnastics soon became a passion lasting into college, as it helped me become more aware of her body, it’s position in space and the effects of movement on my mood and spirit. A snowboarding accident led me to a physical therapist who suggested yoga to help heal my injury. I immediately connected to the flow of movements because of her gymnastics background. However, the calm peace created by the mindfulness of breath is what truly resonated with me. I soon developed a passion and practice for the yogic way of life which lead me to teacher training at Studio Surya Yoga in Venice,CA to earn my certification in Vinyasa based yoga in July 2013. Recently, I was able to combine my love of gymnastic acrobatics with yoga and obtained my ACROVINYASA™ Level 1 Teacher Certification created by Claudine and Honza Lafond in August 2015. Since than, my acro continues to grow and evolve thru the practicing with another menot Chris Filkins. I teach my yoga and acro with progressive movements to allow for detailed body awareness of what is needed for to move your body higher in space ;) I love to fly, and slowly getting better at basing;) My schedule to play is limited since I'm still working as a Nurse is the Operating Room full time, and teaching Yoga/Acro on the side. I offer monthly Sat workshops at Yogaraj to all levels, and most Sunday's you will find me on the green, reach out to me if you want to play!!!
